How do I fight the cycle of super oily, with super dry, flaky skin?

Hormonal imbalance and increased production in the oil producing glands results in oily skin. When oily skin acts up, its obvious rough, shiny appearance and resulting blemishes (sometimes acne) give teens and adults alike, even more stress, and stress contributes to breakouts. Using products that dry out the skin seems like the obvious solution, but it isn’t.

Cleansing 2-3 times a day (especially before bed and upon waking) with an antibacterial cleanser such as USRx Clear Complexion Cleansing Bar will help remove excess oil without stripping and drying the skin.
Follow this with a treatment pad such as USRx Gly/Sal Pads. Alpha hydroxy acids in the form of fruit or milk acids (which contains glycolic acid and has moisturizing properties) do very well with oily skin. Our Gly/Sal Pads contain a combination of Glycolic and Salicylic hydroxyl acids which work to remove excess oil and dead skin cells, open pores and allow them breathe. This results in oil glands that regulate themselves better. The acids break down the debris and oil clogging them, removing their dark, more obvious appearance resulting in pores that appear smaller.

Lastly, you must use a good skin hydration product. Of course, for this I recommend USRx HydraFirm Serum. This is a super-hydrating hyaluronic acid-based serum than offers the ultimate in daily skin hydration while its peptide-rich formula helps boost collagen and heal irritated skin. This step is very important because skin that is too dry will try to compensate for the lack of moisture by producing more oil. Many of the skin care products designed for oily skin cause a vicious cycle because they strip the skin, drying it too much.

There you have it…..your oily skin solution!
