Even Tone 24/7 Routine

Even Tone Cleansing Bar: Moisten enclosed sponge with warm water and rub across cleansing bar to create a creamy lather. Gently massage onto face using small circular motions, allowing the lather to remain on the face for one to two minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and gently pat skin dry. Rinse sponge and wring out excess water. Do not put back inside the jar. Allow the sponge to fully dry on top of the lid of the jar. Eye sensitivity can occur; avoid directly cleansing the eye area.

Can be used to cleanse the skin both morning and night. Can also be used as a mask and left on for for up to 3 minutes before rinsing off.

Brightening & pH Balancing Witch Hazel Toner: After cleansing, apply toner to a cotton pad and wipe over face and neck area. Do not rinse. Follow with recommended Urban Skin Rx® treatment serums and daytime or evening moisturizers. Can be used twice a day.

Advanced Even Tone Day & Night Treatment: For the first two weeks, use once a day. After two weeks, increase to twice a day if needed and if skin tolerates well. After cleansing, apply 2-3 pumps of product to face and neck. In the morning, follow with an SPF and in the evening, follow with a moisturizer.

Esthetician Tip: To use as a spot treatment, alternate between full face/neck application and specific spot application upon every other use.

If I have dark marks and acne, do I use the Clear Skin Cleansing Bar or the Even Tone Cleansing Bar? 
If you have dark marks, suffer from acne and have oily skin, use the Clear Skin Cleansing Bar. If you don’t suffer from oily skin or acne but have discolorations or want a brighter, more even-toned complexion, use the Even Tone Cleansing Bar. It is important to remember that all three of our cleansing bars help improve the look of uneven skin tone, so choose your bar based on your skin type.

If I have sensitive skin should I use this bar?
For sensitive skin, we recommend that you try our Even Tone Gentle Gel Cleanser. You could also try using this bar without the exfoliating sponge.

Is it normal for my skin to feel irritated, red or peel after using this product?
No. If you are experiencing irritation, redness or peeling, it could be caused by a few other things: you may be scrubbing too hard with the sponge, your skin is too sensitive for this cleanser, you are using this product with too many exfoliating products and/or not giving your skin enough hydration. We recommend that you try our gentler cleansing options, Even Tone Gentle Gel Cleanser or LacticGlow Micropolish Resurface & Brighten Cleanser.

Can I use this bar with another cleanser?
Yes. This bar can be used along with our other cleansers.

Can this be used on the body?
We recommend using the Clear and Even Tone Body Cleansing Bar for a full-body treatment.

Is there Sodium Hydroxide in your cleanser bars?
Sodium Hydroxide is commonly used in the soap making process to turn fats and oils into soap - a process called saponification. However, the amount of Sodium Hydroxide used in the soap manufacturing process is not the amount you end up with in the finished product. By the end of the soap making process, most of the sodium hydroxide has dissociated (broken up) and is no longer present in the final product. As a result, while we use Sodium Hydroxide as a raw ingredient in our manufacturing process, there is only a residual amount of Sodium Hydroxide present in our finished cleansing bars.

How can I keep my sponges clean? 
These reusable sponges can be washed with laundry in a washing machine. We recommend washing them along with towels and letting them air dry. It is also important to let the sponge air dry after each use and not leave them inside the cleansing jar. 

Is this product good for sensitive skin?
Yes! We would recommend this product for use on sensitive skin.

How does this toner help balance and restore the skin’s pH level?
This formula has an ideal pH range for the skin of roughly 4.5 - 5.5 and also contains pH balancing ingredients such as Chamomile Extract and antioxidants.

Do I apply this product on my full face or just the dark spots?
For best results, apply it to the entire face to maintain an even‑looking complexion. If certain areas need extra attention, you can alternate between full‑face application and spot‑applying on specific dark marks.

How long before I notice a difference in my skin?
Everyone’s skin is different, so the timeline can vary. Many people begin to see visible improvements in 6–8 weeks while some may notice changes sooner.

Why doesn’t this formula have hydroquinone?
We wanted a formula that can be used year‑round and is suitable for a wide range of routines. Hydroquinone is typically recommended for short‑term use, so we chose to create a hydroquinone‑free option that can be incorporated more flexibly.

Can I use this product with other serums?
Yes. This treatment can be used alongside your favorite Urban Skin Rx® serums, moisturizers, and treatments.

What is the difference between this new formula and the previous version?
The updated formula now features 5% Tranexamic Acid (increased from 3%) and has been optimized for enhanced formula stability, while continuing to improve the appearance of dark marks and uneven tone.

The product is in a new package. Has the formula changed?
The formula is the same with one additional ingredient: Oligopeptide-68, a peptide that reveals a brighter, more even-looking complexion. Peptides also work to visibly improve the appearance of aging skin.

Will this moisturizer cause breakouts?
No. It’s lightweight, oil-free and noncomedogenic.

Is this moisturizer good for sensitive skin?
Yes, this moisturizer is great for all skin types!

Can I mix this moisturizer with other products?
Yes. When using this moisturizer in the daytime, follow with an SPF like SheerGlow™ Even Tone Daily Defense Mineral Moisturizer SPF 30 for extra hydration and that all-important sun protection.

Are your products tested on animals?
