How To Use
Even Tone Cleansing Bar: Moisten enclosed sponge with warm water and rub across cleansing bar to create a creamy lather. Gently massage onto face using small circular motions, allowing the lather to remain on the face for one to two minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and gently pat skin dry. Rinse sponge and wring out excess water. Do not put back inside the jar. Allow the sponge to fully dry on top of the lid of the jar. Eye sensitivity can occur; avoid directly cleansing the eye area.
Can be used to cleanse the skin both morning and night. Can also be used as a mask and left on for for up to 3 minutes before rinsing off.
Brightening & pH Balancing Witch Hazel Toner: After cleansing, apply toner to a cotton pad and wipe over face and neck area. Do not rinse. Follow with recommended Urban Skin Rx® treatment serums and daytime or evening moisturizers. Can be used twice a day.
Retinol Rapid Repair & Dark Spot Treatment: After cleansing, apply to the full face, avoiding the eye area. Begin by applying every other night. After 2-3 weeks, increase to applying every night if tolerated. It is normal for skin dryness and peeling to occur for the first 2-3 weeks of use. If experiencing irritation, reduce application to every third night and gradually increase to every other night. Always follow with a moisturizer. To target specific dark spots, alternate every other application between the full face and spot treating. In the daytime, always protect skin with a broad spectrum SPF 30 or higher and limit sun exposure while using this product.
Complexion Protection Moisturizer SPF 30: Apply to all areas of the skin exposed to the sun. Apply liberally and evenly 15 minutes before sun exposure. Can be applied after the application of toning or treatment pads, serums or gels. Reapply after 40 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying and at least every 2 hours.

How can I keep my cleansing bar sponges clean?
The reusable sponges can be washed with laundry in a washing machine. We recommend washing them along with towels and letting them air dry. It is also important to let the sponge air dry after each use and not leave it inside the cleansing jar. If you need replacements, we sell additional sponges here on our website.
If I have sensitive skin should I use the Even Tone Cleansing Bar?
For sensitive skin, we recommend that you try our Even Tone Gentle Gel Cleanser. You could also try using this bar without the exfoliating sponge.
Is it normal for my skin to feel irritated, red or peel after using the Even Tone Cleansing Bar?
No. If you are experiencing irritation, redness or peeling, it could be caused by a few other things: you may be scrubbing too hard with the sponge, your skin is too sensitive for this cleanser, you are using this product with too many exfoliating products and/or not giving your skin enough hydration. We recommend that you try our gentler cleansing options, Even Tone Gentle Gel Cleanser or LacticGlow Micropolish Resurface & Brighten Cleanser.
Can the Even Tone Cleansing Bar be used on the body?
We recommend using the Clear and Even Tone Body Cleansing Bar for a full-body treatment.
How does this toner help balance and restore the skin’s pH level?
This formula has an ideal pH range for the skin of roughly 4.5 - 5.5 and also contains pH balancing ingredients such as Chamomile Extract and antioxidants.
Is the Retinol Rapid Repair & Dark Spot Treatment only to be used at night?
We recommend this product only be used at night since it contains Retinol and other ingredients that make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Make sure to wear an SPF 30 or higher during the day.
Do I put this product on my full face or just the dark spots?
This product should be used on the entire face to avoid blotches from spot treatments; however, if marks are especially stubborn, you can alternate between spot treating and applying to the full face.
How long before I notice a difference in my skin?
Everyone’s skin is different, so results can vary. It is typical to see results anywhere between 6-8 weeks; however, some people experience results faster.
Is this product a sunblock or moisturizer or is it both?
This dual-purpose formula is a moisturizer and a broad spectrum SPF in one! Suitable for all skin types.
Should I wear sunscreen or SPF daily?
Yes! SPF or sunscreen should be applied every morning as the final step in your skincare routine and before sun exposure. No matter your skin tone, everyone’s skin needs to be protected from the sun’s harmful UV rays even when it’s cloudy. Not to mention, a daily SPF can also protect your skin from the visible signs of aging and hyperpigmentation.
It’s also important to note that if you’re using corrective skincare products that contain AHAs or Retinol, your skin could be more sensitive to sun exposure. As a result, you should make sure you’re applying an SPF when using such products.
Do I need to use a SPF in the winter or if it’s cloudy out?
Yes! A sunscreen should be applied every morning as the final step in any skincare regimen. Ultraviolet light penetrates clouds with ease, so it is important to wear sun protection throughout the year, even on cloudy days.
Can I use this if I have dry skin? What about oily skin?
